Traditionally, consultants are hired to provide technical direction, knowledge and advice, and undoubtedly many provide a very good service. Unfortunately it is often difficult for the company to implement the advice given, due to:

  • The already stretched resources within the company;
  • The advice may not readily fit in with the company’s existing systems;
  • There is no ‘ownership’ in the company of the changes suggested;

This often means that benefits of using a consultant are rapidly lost. Ashwood UK offers a solution to this problem by providing a contract technical service for an agreed period of time with a dedicated advisor, and during that time, we will -

  • Assist in definition of required technical and quality standards.
  • Assess current status and compare results against required standards.
  • Risk-assess and hence prioritise needs, and formulate action plan.
  • In association with existing staff, implement action plan.
  • Assist in selection and training of appropriate personnel to carry on long term technical function.
  • Review and amend improvements to ensure business needs are being met.
  • Ensure an on-going hand-over to nominated technical / quality individual(s) during the agreed period.
  • Provide follow-up or ad hoc assistance as required.
